Hurry Up & Wait

George:

I'm 36 and not married. Although my father is are very fun and loving, he sometimes makes jokes about my single status. He doesn't say anything to my face, but when others are around he suggests, "I hurry up and get going" and other such stupid remarks. What's the best way to tell him this hurts me?

Dear Single in Chicago:

Tell him you want his house when he's gone, so he'd better "hurry up and get going." Or sit him down when there are no distractions and tell him your true feelings.
